In 2019, the Lowcountry Maritime School Partnered with the Charleston Parks Conservancy to host our 5th Annual Spring Boat Launch and Family Fun Day at Colonial Lake in Downtown Charleston, SC. We look forward to continuing this exciting tradition with Charleston Parks Conservancy for years to come!
Many of our student volunteers are from the College of Charleston. The Honors Engaged Program seeks to foster a lifelong commitment to active citizenship by engaging first-year Honors students in sustained, intentional work with Charleston-area community organizations that address critical issues, especially literacy, poverty, homelessness, and poor nutrition.
Charleston Promise Neighborhood’s mission is to ensure residents in Charleston’s Neck are engaged in their community and every child is on track to graduate high school with the abilities necessary to succeed in college, the military or the workforce.
LMS continues to partner with Coastal Expeditions to host a summer camp where students build wooden boats and explore local waterways. Contact us for registration information!
